Homeless charity goes country to raise funds

The Australian charity Street Swags is set to host a country music event and release an album to help raise funds for its cause.

Street Swags provides homeless people with basic shelter made by prisoners and packaged by school kids, and so far has helped provide shelter for 17,000 people in need.

The charity will host ‘Bringing In The Season’ at Brookefield Showgrounds in Brisbane on November 12, an event that will feature Dianna Corcoran, Rob Black, Luke O’Shea and Col Finley.

The charity is also set to release a comilation album titled A Season For Giving, which will feature artists like Lee Kernaghan, Bill and Kasey Chambers, Troy Cassar-Daley, Rob Black, Tommy Emmanuel, Diana Corcoran and Rick Price.

Tickets for ‘Bringing In The Season’ will be available from Ticketek and A Season For Giving will be available through iTunes and from Sanity Music stores.
